Melodic Motion™ is a music-and-movement curriculum for daycares, learning centers, and preschools, designed to introduce children ages 2 to 5 years old to real musical concepts through dancing, games, imagination, and play.

Every plan includes Kelly-led videos that teach the lesson. Your staff facilitate, encourage, and participate alongside the children—without having to teach the lesson themselves. Prefer to lead it yourself? The included two-page instructor guide makes it simple, with minimal preparation. The experience is designed to be easy for everyone: directors set up the account, upload the roster, and invite teachers; teachers gather props, press play, and mark the lesson complete; parents receive a lesson email with a QR code to enjoy the music and activities at home.

Built around the way young children learn

The musical idea is not hidden behind the fun. It creates the fun.

Children learn by doing. A song about tempo changes tempo. A game about dynamics asks them to move loudly and softly. A lesson about timbre helps them hear how instruments, animals, voices, and everyday sounds have different musical colors.

Children also explore song form, including ABA: an opening section, a contrasting section, and the opening’s return. Each experience turns an abstract musical concept into something children can hear, feel, and recognize through movement.

Intentionally designed for low stimulation. No flashing animations or distracting visual effects—just music, movement, illustrations, and storytelling designed to be fun, educational, and engaging.

Lessons follow a thoughtful arc: a familiar hello, musical discovery through movement and games, a return to calm, and the familiar goodbye song.

We have put time and thought into connecting the music, activities, teaching guidance, and family materials, so your team can simply press play, follow along, and enjoy the experience with the children—with very little preparation.

A genre-spanning music library

Custom-developed, lesson-specific songs span rock, country, hip-hop, dance-pop, classical/cinematic styles, nursery-rhyme-style children’s songs, and lullabies. Children discover different musical worlds, with songs designed for grown-ups to enjoy, too.

When a musical style is a natural fit for a lesson’s theme, we bring it into the songs. For example, we use country music for Down on the Farm, island-inspired music for Under the Sea, and New Orleans-style music for Carnival. Alongside musical concepts, children explore a wide variety of sounds and styles and begin connecting them with the places, celebrations, and traditions where they might hear them. Each theme brings the music to life and helps children discover how music is part of the world around them.

Learning through dancing and games

Guided movement, listening games, imaginative play, and repeatable class rituals translate musical ideas into age-appropriate experiences.

Activities for home

Every plan includes videos demonstrating the lessons children enjoyed in class, so families can sing the same songs and practice the same moves at home. Family web-app access also includes songs, karaoke videos, coloring-book materials, and parent PDFs.

The music uses AI-assisted foundations and creative direction, with production editing in Ableton to fit the musical ideas in the lessons.

Pricing counts only students who use Melodic Motion, designed for ages 2 to 5 years old. Infants and other children who do not participate are not included in your plan count.

Start with 36 complete lessons. Keep growing your library. Every plan begins with 36 complete lessons and includes one credit for a new lesson each month. New lessons are added every month, and the lessons you unlock remain in your library to revisit while your license is active. Save unused credits for a future lesson that fits your program. You can also pause your membership and keep your accumulated credits.

One complete program. Pricing based on participating students. $149/month for up to 35 students, $225/month for up to 65, or $299/month for up to 90. At each tier’s full enrollment, that’s approximately $4.26, $3.46, or $3.32 per student per month. For more than 90 students, contact us for pricing.

Every plan includes a 14-day grace period when your participating roster exceeds its limit, giving you time to adjust your roster or update your plan. Every tier includes the same curriculum, videos, and features. Printed posters can be purchased separately.

Kelly Hasting

Kelly founded Melodic Motion™ after imagining a children’s music experience with more energy, variety, imagination, and connection. She holds a master’s degree in teaching science and was a professional dancer with the California Ballet Company. Kelly was also a teacher and cheer and dance coach at Grimsley Junior High in Centerton, Arkansas. She brings that experience to lessons that connect music, movement, and the way young children learn.

Greg Hasting

Greg has assisted Kelly in building the curriculum and developing its music and business foundation. He majored in music at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and plays bass in the band Doctor Junior. Greg is also an attorney and local business owner, bringing musical knowledge, production experience, legal insight, and practical business thinking to Melodic Motion™.
